Removing a clogged refrigerator capillary tube
When repairing refrigerators from Atlant, and sometimes from other manufacturers, a malfunction very often occurs when the condenser warms up only partially, but the refrigerator as a whole can become cold, but does not turn off. Compressor or maybe local icing (“fur coat”). All these symptoms indicate a clogged capillary tube.
Types of blockages and methods of their elimination
Blockages of capillary tubes can be either partial or complete. In case of partial blockage of the capillary tube, many craftsmen try the flushing method. Both special freon R141 and our own mixtures of acids and alkalis are used as a detergent. What we do not recommend doing, since there have been no in-depth tests of any such mixture. Moreover, we do not recommend using methyl alcohol, as it is a deadly poison and can lead to dire consequences.

Homemade hydraulic presses for a capillary tube from a regular car jack have become even more widespread. From experience, it is worth noting that you need to use a jack of at least 2-3 tons, since the load can be significant.
The main modification is to make a hole in the jack piston and weld an adapter for the monometer (if necessary), and for the thread for the capillary tube.
A simpler “Handicraft” method is to weld a larger diameter tube to the capillary, pour oil into it and weld it on the other side. After which this “disposable hydraulic cylinder” is placed on an anvil and the pressure created begins to flatten and breaks through the blockage.
